How to show the battery icon in Windows 10

If you don't see the battery icon on the Windows 10 taskbar, the visit is hidden or disabled. The icon should appear inside the Windows system tray area, next to the time and date. If the battery icon is missing in Windows 10, try these methods to get it back again.

How to make sure that the battery icon is hidden

If you can't see the battery icon, the main thing to test is whether it's hidden or not.
Select the up arrow to the left of the Windows taskbar to reveal the hidden system tray icons. If you can see the battery icon here, continue with the next steps. Otherwise, try this method.

Right-click anywhere on the taskbar to call the menu and choose Taskbar Settings.
The taskbar menu is used to load the taskbar settings and to show the hidden battery icon of the operating system.
Alternatively, choose the Windows icon, then choose Settings --> Personalization--> Taskbar.
In the taskbar settings, scroll down to the notification area and prefer to select which icons appear on the taskbar.

Scroll down the list until you discover the battery icon, which is called "Power". The rationale for the icon not showing up inside the taskbar is to turn it off here. Select its toggle switch to set it to the on position.

Set the battery icon to appear on the taskbar. You should now see the electric battery icon inside the taskbar.

How to activate the Windows 10 battery icon if it is missing

After choosing the up arrow, if the battery icon is not among the group of hidden icons, then you will enable the battery icon.

Go to the taskbar settings using one of the methods described above.
Scroll down the page and choose Turn system icons on or off.

Scroll down and select Facility Key to mean it.
Turn on system icons or turn off the Windows taskbar to display the battery icon.

The battery icon should now appear. If not, it should be hidden now and you should use the previous method to reveal it.
Most likely, the above steps will work. If the battery icon is still missing, check for and install any available updates for Windows, restart your computer, and then try the above steps again.

Disable and re-enable battery devices

If the above steps do not work, you may be able to try disabling and re-enabling battery devices within the device manager. Make sure that you are connected to an external power source before starting this process. Press Windows Key + X to talk about the quick access menu, then select Device Manager.

In Device Manager, select the category of batteries to expand it. There should be two components:

Microsoft AC adapter.

Microsoft ACPI compliant battery.

The device manager shows batteries.

Right-click on the Microsoft AC adapter and choose Disable device.

Choose Yes. Ignore the warning and continue to disable the device. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to disable the Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method. To re-enable devices, right-click on each of them and choose Enable Device. Enable battery devices in Windows Device Manager. Restart your computer until the battery icon appears.
If the battery icon does not appear, try the previous steps above to check if the battery icon is hidden. Then, if necessary, enable the battery icon.
